NAVIGON U.S. Central App Reviews

I already had the Navigon East for trips to Washington and now I had to go to Huston,Tx. The Navigon East App Store ad claimed a inapp purchase for Navigon Central for $14.99 but I couldnt download it except for the full price. I checked with Navigon Customer unService who said, "That ad isnt true and will fixed on the next update". No offer to make it right.The nav program is OK but no great. too clumsy tto while in downtown DC. Not recommended. These Nav programs need a simulated trial to see if its worth tthmoney .

The in-app purchases listed for this app will not be there after you downlaod the app, instead it will only list an option to purchase the entire North American Region for 49.99, not the East coast or West coast regions as advertised for 14.99 add-ons.. Reaching out to Apple will get you nowhere they just keep blaming the developer but their store is the store misleading and falsly advertisingthe app... Id say do not waste your money on these regional apps wehn youre gonna beforced to pay 49.99 if you eevr want to add another region....

Does not work since last ios update.

This is, by far, the best GPS application on iOS. Its native for iPhone and iPad; keeps the maps on your device for those areas where cellular connectivity is bad or non-existent; has great lane suggestions, traffic (add-on), and text-to-speech for street names. Its fast! I bought the application before Garmin purchased Navigon and feared the worst. However, the app is still great!

Was a great app when it was fully functional. Now does not work.

My in all purchases quit working. Deleted all and reinstalled but did not fix problem. The restore purchases button doesnt work. It says that you cannot make in app purchases and the. Says it cannot connect to the App Store. I recommend staying away from this product as it is very unreliable.

The latest iPhone 6+ with iOS 8.0.2 requires me to turn off auto-lock to prevent the app/phone from locking. This didnt use to be the case so not sure whats going on. Also still the WORST search capabilities of ANY GPS app out there. Considering the fact that the others were free and I PAID for this one, what rating should I give????

Whats with the overly bright overlay on the Maps screen. Looks horrible! The iCloud sharing of favorites either had a major lag or its broken altogether. Glad I made a backup of them. Im not sure what to say about the danger zone feature. Without giving people a way to report what type of danger I think itll flop. Leave the social to Waze. Just give me the best voice and visual guidance possible.

The last thing I expected were major changes to my old faithful Navigon app but they did good. The widget is great makes it easy to quickly see travel times and then set up a route to one of the 3 places I go to the most. The road signs that pop up for curves, ice on bridges, etc. were a pleasant surprise when I started seeing them. Even the speed limit sign is sharper and bolder now. I like the look. FOUR IMPROVEMENTS THAT ARE NEEDED: 1. Make my vehicle speed bigger & easier to see. 2. Put a shortcut button for the map view on every screen. I hate going back, back, back, to get back to the map when looking at POIs etc. 3 . Put a big mute button on the map screen. 4. Enlarge the iPod button and the two buttons at the top of the map view PLEASE. Other than these four things, I love this app and have come back to it every time after trying MotionX, TomTom, and Waze.

The app crashes on startup ever since the new update that came out on 5-6-2015 came out.
