Not a very good user interface

Using this app always seems to be more difficult than it should be... its never quite clear how to do simple things like getting back to the main menu, going back to a previously entered address, displaying saved favorites, changing map settings. Everything is just a little confusing and non-intuitive, or just not possible. Plus the maps are just plain ugly. Really ugly.

I mostly realized how much better a map app could be when I eventually tried the Tomtom app on a friends ipod. The difference is like night and day. The whole app is so much easier to use. Everything just makes sense, and it has so many little added features to make navigating around the app and using it so much easier. Its really obvious the difference between an app like Navigon thats "good enough," and an app like the Tomtom one where they really think of everything. I will say that the voice commands with the actual street names is better in the Navigon app, but other than that, I much prefer the Tomtom app.
